So I started this venture in the basement of my home and even though I loved the commute pretty much everything else about this sucked. But late last year I moved into a studio space in a creative based arts building. The space was pretty raw and a ton of work had to be done. In between doing events, paperwork, site inspections, consultations and life I managed to carve out some time to start and make the space into a viable business. Of course I did not do this alone but I’m proud to say that I did a lot more myself than I ever thought possible. Immense amounts of work and sacrifices aside running your own business is an incredibly satisfying venture and having a space to go to everyday where all of this takes place is the cherry on top!
There is still much to do, painting, baseboards, kitchen cabinets to install and the list goes on and on but I don’t mind. It’s all mine and affords me to go forward with the business and take on challenges that I could not in the past.
