Karolina made a huge first impression, she is tall, blond and very pretty. She is not about structure or fuss, she wanted to her wedding to be clean and simple. Letting the beauty of the florals and surrounding gardens speak for themselves. Her first statement to me was just get whatever is white and beautiful…I trust you. Really? Yes!!! My favourite type of bride; provides some basic ideas but no strict guidelines!
The ceremony was outdoors on a perfect Friday in June at the McLean House on the Estates of Sunnybrook. The bride wore a flowing white organza dress with a veil to rival some royals. On the tables were alternating modern vases of white hydrangeas and white calla lilies. The ceremony was lush surrounded by the trees, white petals, white florals and aisle decor creating a crisp romantic setting.
I rarely get a glimpse of the bride as I’m usually in and out but on this occasion since I was moving the ceremony pieces to decorate the reception I was there for everything. Seeing her in her dress with the bouquet I had made for her was very special and reminded me why I do what I do. Happiness flowed freely that day…it was the perfect day for a white wedding.
