Stephanie & Gord…a peachy keen wedding.

Stephanie was a blank slate, she came into the studio with only a picture of her dress and a fabric swatch for the maid of honour. As a couple they were really open to ideas and wanted something different. After considering a few different colour schemes they settled on champagne and peach with punches of acid green and orange. For me it was another chance to do something that was a change from some of the latest events I have been working on.

They got married at Miller Lash house and if you are familiar with this venue space it is very quaint and simple. For the ceremony the arbour was decorated with 2 coordinating arrangements, twisting grape vine and lots of rose petals. I managed to fall of a ladder while decorating this and besides scraping my leg and a twisted ankle my bruised ego was most painful! Thank you to Vicky for your help while I hobbled around the grounds finishing things.

Besides being an absolutely picture perfect summer day the wedding was warm in other ways. All the family members and friends gathering together to pitch in for the bride & groom. Rustic copper containers with soft peach roses, river rocks and curly willow on each table under a tent surrounded by beautiful gardens. It felt very much like they are as a couple, serene and natural. I loved being a part of this day…
