A bounty of bling...the 2010 CGTA gift show.

p1020454Twice a year I put on my runners and spend about 6-7 hours wandering the International and Congress centres in search of new event decor. Usually I have a list of specialty items I need for upcoming weddings or corporate parties and I have been lucky to find most of what I have been looking for. This year I was searching for all things sparkly, silver and statuesque. Boy did I find them!p1020455

Well 2 things were clear after my first trip around the show, if you were there in search of bling or bamboo you were in luck. Everywhere I turned there were rhinestone wrapped vases, hanging crystal curtain chandeliers, sparkling candelabras and silver accents. The interesting part was the equally prominent eco-friendly booths so for every bling-ed out booth there was one that was calm, simple and full of bamboo products!

All in all it was a successful trip for me, not quite as amazing as last year but I got to visit old favourites and added a few new catalogues to my supply library. It is an enjoyable escape from the studio I have to say to wander and check out what will be filling the stores in Toronto over the next year.img00297

See you again in August CGTA!!!
